Privacy policy

This policy explains how D-Rube Labs & Research Pvt. Ltd. (“drubelabs”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you use DART (drubelabs academy for robotics and technology) at dart.courses, create an account, buy an online course, apply for a programme or contact us. We follow applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.

What we collect

Account details: full name, email address, mobile number, whether you are a school student, college student, professional or faculty, and optionally your college or company, year or class and city. Your password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
Learning data: the courses you are enrolled in, the lessons you complete and the simulation files you download.
Payment records: the course bought, amount, date, and the order and payment IDs from our payment provider. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or netbanking password.
Applications and enquiries: what you send through our Apply, Internships, For colleges and Contact forms.
Parent or guardian details for students under 18 (see below).
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and cookies needed to keep you logged in and keep the site secure.

How we use it

To create and run your account and give you access to the courses you have bought.
To process payments, send receipts, handle refunds and keep accounting records.
To run programmes, issue certificates and let anyone verify a certificate ID.
To answer your questions and send important messages about your account or courses.
To send updates about new courses and cohorts, only if you agreed. You can stop these at any time.
To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you register, buy or apply, and for legitimate uses allowed by law (for example, keeping payment records).

Payments

Online payments are processed by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Limited), a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and are handled under Razorpay’s privacy policy. Razorpay shares with us only the information needed to confirm your payment.

Who we share it with

Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
Our website hosting and email providers, who store data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
For drone pilot certification only, the DGCA-approved training organisation you choose.
Government or law-enforcement authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Students under 18

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to your registration. The registration form asks for their name and contact details and their consent, and we may contact them to confirm it. We do not use the data of students under 18 for advertising or behavioural tracking; lesson progress is used only to show the student their own progress. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to see, correct or delete their child’s data.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data: while your account is active, and up to 3 years after your last login.
Payment and invoice records: 8 years, as required by Indian tax and company law.
Enquiries: up to 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a summary of the data we hold about you, correct or update it, delete it (except records we must keep by law), withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. You can update most details yourself under My account → Profile. For anything else, email support@drubelabs.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, remember your session and protect forms from spam. If we add analytics, we will update this policy. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to log in.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to student data is limited to staff who need it. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. For significant changes we will also email registered users.
